Resort worker accused of killing Pilar town resident

Eleseo Jenosas of Pilar, Capiz died in a shooting incident inside a resort Monday.

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A resort caretaker allegedly shot dead a resident of Sitio Bang-ogay Brgy. Natividad, Pilar, Capiz Monday afternoon.

Police identified the victim as Eleseo Jenosas of said place.

Police Corporal Jaypee Tomogda, Pilar PNP investigator, said Jenosas was drinking liquor with friends in the resort when the incident happened.

Hours later after consuming bottles of liquor, the victim allegedly went unruly and challenged other guests to a fight.

Frederick Bargo, 41, of Barangay Poblacion and caretaker of the resort, approached Jenosas and asked him to calm down.

But the victim did not heed Bargo and a commotion occurred between them.

Jenosas then punched Bargo’s body.

Bargo got annoyed and went home. A few minutes later, Bargo returned with an unidentified gun caliber.

The suspect then shot Jenosas in the right part of his chest.

The victim was taken to Bailan District Hospital where he expired.

Bargo was arrested by police in a hot pursuit operation but they did not recover the gun he used on the victim.
