A motorcycle rider was killed after colliding with a delivery truck morning of Nov 24, 2020 in Cabatuan, Iloilo.

Police identified the victim as Ariel Valladolid, a resident of Barangay Purog, Dueñas, Iloilo.

It was believed that Valladolid was instantly killed after his motorcycle crashed into a Mitsubishi Stake truck (license plate LLC-177) driven by Juanito Gonzales at Barangay Banguit.

Valladolid was declared dead at the nearby Ramon Tabiana Memorial District Hospital.

The victim was on his way to Cabatuan town proper when he allegedly encroached the truck’s lane.

Valladolid succumbed to head injuries.

Gonzales surrendered and was held in police custody.

An hour later, another motorcycle figured in a road mishap at Barangay Bolong Oeste, Sta. Barbara, Iloilo.

Luckily, Regie Gole, 30, of Poblacion Ilaya, Tapaz, Capiz, only suffered injuries on his leg.

Gole was driving a Suzuki motorcycle in a U-turn slot when a Nissan Navara pick-up (temporary license plate number FI-V463) owned by DPWH Iloilo 4th District Engineering Office hit him.

The pick-up was driven by Antonio Ortigosa, Jr., 39, of Melliza Street, Zarraga, Iloilo.

Gole was rushed to the Sta. Barbara Rural Health Unit for treatment.
