An alleged member of the notorious Lego-Libuna Robbery Gang was arrested afternoon of Oct 2, 2020 in Lambunao, Iloilo.
Several attempts were made before 21-year-old Jeofrey Vicente was finally collared at Barangay Bagongbong.
Members of Lambunao Police Station and the Iloilo Provincial Police Office-Provincial Intelligence Unit finally busted Vicente after serving an arrest warrant for the crime of robbery with force upon things in Criminal Case No. 20-0638.
Judge Gemalyn Tarol of the Regional Trial Court Branch 76 in Janiauy, Iloilo issued the warrant with a P72,000 bail for his temporary liberty.
Major Jogen Suegay, Lambunao police chief, said the suspect admitted being a member of the group.
There were other charges filed against him, but the courts have yet to issue arrest warrants.
Early this year, the IPPO leadership said they have neutralized some members of the Lego-Libuna Robbery Group while manhunt operations are still on for the other members.
