Rotary Club of Bacolod brings love and hope to Kabankalan City

The Rotary Club of Bacolod is deeply saddened by the devastation and loss of lives caused by Typhoon “Odette” particularly in Kabankalan City where large areas were submerged by flood waters.

It is for this reason that the club conducted a special distribution effort on Dec 19, 2021.

The distribution of drinking water and grocery packs was led by Life Changing President Pauline Cuaycong, the Rotaract Club of Bacolod Colegio de San Agustin headed by Pres. Deanna Therese Cerna, Club Moderator Mr. Bong Lacanilao, Ms. Adelina Tomaro, President Chyrel Ramos of Rotary Club of Kabankalan, and Past President Stephen Ramos.

Also present were officials of Kabankalan City headed by Mayor Pedro Zayco, Mr. Mario Camacio, Mr. Arnold Recique, Ms. Ellien Sara, Mr. Rocel Duma Cuete, Mr. Aries Lustica, Mr. Sanny Talatdan, Mr. Mario Diaz, Mr. Rommie Bocazeja, Mr. Felizardo Srenica, Ms. Angila Utana and volunteers of KABALIKAT & PCAG – Elmer Eleanor and Adrian Zayco, Past President Toto Lopez, and the Rotary Club of Binalbagan.

This emergency relief effort is also supported by the Rotary International District 3850 under the leadership of District Governor Edwin To.

Amid great sadness and pain, the club hopes that the relief distribution effort will bring comfort, love, and hope for the typhoon victims.
