Roxas City brings aid to Olotayan Island

Roxas City Mayor Ronnie Dadivas supervises the distribution of assistance to residents of Olotayan Island.

The Roxas City government headed by Mayor Ronnie Dadivas sent aid to Olotayan Island even before tropical storm Auring hits northern Panay, particularly Capiz province.

The city government sent rice and canned goods to the island barangay so that its soup kitchen could operate and distribute the food to the households.

Meanwhile, 48 fisherfolks from Olotayan received help from the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources through the City Agriculture Office.

The beneficiaries braved the cloudy weather to get their assistance over the weekend.

“Tuman guid ang amon nga pagpasalamat sa BFAR kag City Government nga kami nakaambit sini nga grasya. Gani bisan medyo malain na ang tiyempo nagdalikat guid kami sa pagtabok sa lawod kag paggutos sa baybayon sa Agojo para makuha ini nga benepisyo. Daku ini nga bulig sa amon labi na nga may palapit nga bagyo,” a beneficiary said.
