Roxas City Mayor Ronnie Dadivas is one of the speakers in the Council of Asian Liberals and Democrats (CALD) webinar on Oct 30, 2020.
Dadivas said CALD has recognized Roxas City as a smart city and invited him to speak in the upcoming CALD Smart Cities Webinar.
“Our collective efforts, the sacrifices of our frontliners, the cooperation of our people and the hard work of the men and women of the Roxas City Government have again caught the eye of the international community,” he added.
The webinar dubbed “Reimagining Smart Cities” will focus on how cities can promote pandemic resilience.
Dadivas said the online forum is an opportunity for the city to showcase its strategy in controlling COVID-19 and the plans on how to rebound and future-proof the city from similar crises.
It is also a venue to learn from other cities who will participate in the foum.
“It is a great privilege for me to represent our City in this event. Through this, we can share our experiences, what we have worked on together as a people, and our challenges during this time of COVID-19. As we engage with other countries in this international event, we hope to learn from them as much as they, from us. I also hope to build networks with other CALD Countries in the spirit of international cooperation and collaboration against the threat of COVID-19,” Dadivas said.
The webinar starts 1 pm on Oct 30, 2020 and can be viewed at https://www.facebook.com/asianliberals/posts/3564998616880392
