ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Roxas City Mayor Ronnie Dadivas is under home quarantine after being exposed to one of the 62 confirmed COVID-19 cases here.
Dadivas is still waiting for the results of his RT-PCR test.
Prior to his home quarantine, the mayor confirmed on Wednesday that 13 more residents of the city were positive for COVID-19 which he observed to be alarming.
Reports from the City Health Office (CHO) said that the 13 new cases are:
Patient No. 50 – a 36-year-old male resident of Brgy. 10, a Liaison Officer under the Governor’s Office with exposure/close contact to the first COVID positive at the Office of the Governor and presently admitted at the Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital (RMPH);
Patient No. 51 – a 5-year-old female from Brgy. Cagay;
Patient No. 52 – an 11-month-old male from Brgy. Cagay;
Patient No. 53 – a 26-year-old male from Sitio Sakop, Brgy. Culasi;
Patient No. 54 – a 30-year-old male and resident of Sitio Sakop, Brgy. Culasi;
Patient No.55 – a 5-year-old boy and resident of Brgy. Culasi;
Patient No. 56 – a 24-year-old male and resident of Brgy. Culasi;
Patient No. 57 – a 1-year-old boy from Brgy. Culasi.
Patient No. 58 – a 27-year-old female and resident of Sitio Sakop, Brgy. Culasi and staying near the house of the first COVID-19 positive at Sitio and presently under medication at RMPH;
Patient No. 59 – a 33-year-old female of Brgy. Tanza without travel history and presently confined to RMPH;
Patient No. 60 – a 29-year-old male resident from Altavas, Aklan but temporarily stayed at San Roque Extension while working here without exposure but with travel history to Kalibo, Aklan;
Patient No. 61 – a 51-year-old Nurse from RMPH and resident of Brgy. Milibili here;
Patient No. 62 – a 37-year-old male and resident of Brgy. Culasi who died recently;
Dadivas expects COVID cases to increase because of local transmission
At present, Roxas City has 62 cases, where 37 were active cases, 20 recoveries, and 5 deaths.
