FILIPINA billiard standout Rubilen Amita bagged second place in the 2019 World 9-Ball China Open at Pudong’s Tangzhen County.

Fresh from a second place finish in the Japan 9-Ball Open, Amita again fell short of notching the gold medal.

The Cebuana found difficulty in her stroke as China’s Chen Siming cruised past her, 9-3, in the best of 17 finals match.

Chen was on familiar territory, winning the title twice before, way back 2010 and 2016.

The two-time World 10-ball champion Amita continued to fight back, but couldn’t cash in the much-needed clutch shots to earn a point.

Amita is currently preparing for other big international tournaments.
