A grand reception at Nelly Garden followed the wedding ceremony of Mr. John Frederick “Red” Sarabia and Dr. Risa Maria Lourdes O. Peña.
Internationally acclaimed event stylist, Gideon Hermosa, masterfully transformed the grounds into a lavish garden venue. It took him and his team one week before the wedding to set-up and adorn the venue tent with the finest silk drapes and thousands upon thousands of tiny sparkling lights which had the guests agog with excitement and admiration.
Not to be missed were the thousands of giant imported flowers which filled the reception venue. Whether one would look up, down or forward, the venue was certainly nothing Iloilo society has ever seen.
The couple’s guests were treated to a culinary feast by Iloilo’s top caterer, Mr. Wilson Esperancilla. Beautiful music filled the air as the Sta. Maria Choir and Lyrica String Entertainment serenade the couple and their guests.
The night was filled with moving and inspiring speeches from the couple’s loving parents, Mr. Salvador “Dong” Sarabia Jr., Dr. Ma. Teresa Sarabia, Mr. Rito “Judgee” Lopez Peña and Mrs. Sarah O. Peña.
The invited guests were entertained by the ever supportive siblings of the groom, Don Sarabia, Lee Sarabia, Mishy Sarabia Arcenas and Angelo Arcenas.
Dr. Risa’s sisters, Atty. Rita Peña-Antonio and Engr. Rica Peña also gave heartwarming speeches for the happy couple.
Engr. Rica had most of the guests in tears when she was done with her heartfelt message. One could not argue that the princess of the ball was Atty. Rita’s adorable daughter, Sofia Peña Antonio who was always seen in the arms of her dashing architect father, Pablo Antonio III.
Guests partied the night away after a 3-minute fireworks display blanketed the Iloilo skies to cement the success of the party.
