Seafood Expo Asia 2024 to feature record global participation

The upcoming Seafood Expo Asia 2024, scheduled for September 4-6 at the Sands Expo Convention Centre in Singapore, is set to be the largest international gathering of seafood and processing equipment exhibitors in the event’s history.

Organized by Diversified Communications, this year’s Expo will feature participants from 46 countries, including first-time exhibitors from Azerbaijan, Brazil, Denmark, Morocco, New Caledonia, Qatar, Scotland, Sri Lanka, and Venezuela.

New regional and national pavilions will represent Japan, Morocco, and Saudi Arabia, adding to the event’s global diversity.

This year’s Expo promises a showcase of the latest seafood offerings, sustainability practices, and innovations in aquaculture.

Industry leaders such as AquaChile, Blumar Seafoods, and Vinh Hoan Corporation will be among the many seafood companies displaying their products.

In addition, leading names in aquaculture technology and processing equipment, including Baader Asia PTE. LTD. and Alpha Aqua A/S, will demonstrate cutting-edge advancements, like the latter’s Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) technology.

“We are thrilled to participate in Seafood Expo Asia for the first time,” said Yasin Kasa, Chief Commercial Officer at Alpha Aqua A/S.

“This event provides an excellent platform to showcase our innovative and sustainable Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) technology. We believe that our solutions will not only meet the growing demands for efficient aquaculture but also contribute to a more sustainable future for seafood production. We look forward to engaging with industry leaders and attendees to discuss how our cutting-edge technologies can shape the future of aquaculture.”

The Expo will also feature special events, including the Young Chef Challenge, where culinary students and chefs under 25 will compete in various challenges judged by renowned chefs such as Eric Neo, President of the Singapore Chefs’ Association.

Additionally, the Oyster Challenge will test chefs’ skills in oyster shucking and pairing, while the Seafood Excellence Asia awards will honor the best new seafood products at the Expo.

Seafood professionals from various sectors, including airlines, cruise lines, supermarkets, and restaurants, are expected to attend, with many participating in a business matchmaking program designed to connect them with exhibitors.
