BACOLOD City – Policemen are probing various angles in the death of a security guard in Victorias City, Negros Occidental.

Francis Legada, 23, of Manapla town was shot dead by unidentified perpetrators at Barangay 18-A last Saturday.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Eduardo Corpuz, city police chief, said they are eyeing two or more perpetrators behind the gun attack, which they considered as “well planned.”

Corpuz said the crime was committed in an isolated area where the security guard was on duty alone.

Corpuz said the victim initially succumbed to two gunshot wounds in his chest.

But police recovered from the scene four cases of .45-caliber ammunition.

Corpuz said they are probing if the incident was a case of “agaw armas” or gun snatching since the victim’s issued 12-gauge shotgun was reported missing, as well as his cellular phone.

Corpuz said they are also investigating if personal issues triggered the shooting.

“Lahat naman ng anggulo tinitingnan natin para mabigyan ng hustisya ang kanyang pagkamatay,” he added.
