BACOLOD City – Personnel of Police Station 6 are still looking for the driver of a Toyota sedan who allegedly sideswiped and killed a senior citizen at Barangay Alijis here last Saturday.
Police identified the victim as Oliva Porceso, 69, of the said village.
Police Captain Elmer Bonilla, head of Police Station 7, said Porceso was about to board a passenger jeepney, when she was allegedly sideswiped by an unidentified driver, who then fled.
Bonilla said the victim was supposed to go to the market when the incident occurred around 4:35 a.m.
Porceso suffered multiple injuries that caused her immediate death.
Bonilla said that even the jeepney driver failed to identify the registration plate of the sedan.
Bonilla also said that they could not find any closed circuit television (CCTV) camera footage near the area.
