Senior high teacher robbed, killed in Cadiz

BACOLOD City – Police are pursuing the suspect behind the robbery-slay of a senior high school teacher at Sitio Canipa-an, Barangay Banquerohan, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental last Wednesday.

Jessica Ducay, 28, was alone at home when the suspect identified as Delleon Del Rosario of Barangay 8 here, suddenly entered her house and allegedly stabbed her, based on initial investigation.

Police also believed that the suspect also attacked the victim with a hammer before fleeing with her P79,000 cash.

The victim was declared dead on arrival at a hospital.

Police recovered from the scene two hammers, a face mask, a cap, and a bladed weapon.

The suspect was identified through closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera footage.

Police have yet to give further details about the incident while investigation is ongoing.
