Seven persons busted in anti-illegal drug operations

BACOLOD City – Seven persons were arrested while P138,200 worth of suspected shabu was confiscated in separate buy-bust operations in Negros Occidental from Sept 4 to 5, 2020.

In Victorias City, Nanerick Legada, 48, of Barangay 5 and Nilda Castro, 34 were arrested after police reportedly seized from them 15 grams of suspected shabu worth P102,000, the P400 marked money, drug paraphernalia, and P370.

Also arrested that day at Barangay Dulao, Bago City was Ariel Larit, 32, of Murcia town. Police recovered from him five sachets of suspected shabu worth P3,000, the P500 marked money, drug paraphernalia, and P500.

On the same day at the said village, 44-year-old Romy Pelayo was also collared for illegal drug possession.

Authorities confiscated from Pelayo four sachets of suspected sbabu worth P2,000, the P200 marked money, and P690.

The following day in Talisay City, Hernando Posadas Jr., 38, of Barangay Dos Hermanas, a casual employee of the city government, was collared after he allegedly yielded four grams of suspected shabu worth P27,200, the P500 marked money, and P1,800. He is a high-value individual, according to the police.

In Binalbagan town, Leonardo Maisa, 42, of Barangay 26 here, was collared that day for allegedly engaging in sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs.

Police seized from Maisa three sachets of suspected shabu worth P1,000, the P500 marked money, and improvised tooter.

In Sagay City, 48-year-old Woodrow Barredo of Barangay Old Sagay was arrested after police confiscated from him six sachets of suspected shabu worth P3,000, the P500 marked money, P1,350, and P3,000 fake money.
