BACOLOD City – The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) announced the schedules of the jamming of mobile phone signals during the MassKara Festival highlights.
In a memorandum signed by Commissioner Gamaliel Cordoba issued Monday night, mobile phone signals will be unavailable starting October 25 to 27 at Lacson Street from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The signal jamming on the 25th also coincides with the anticipated arrival of President Rodrigo Duterte, who is also expected to deliver a speech during the Electric MassKara event.
Meanwhile, on October 26 to 27 areas surrounding the Lizares and Araneta Streets up to the Bacolod City Public Plaza will experience signal jamming starting 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. as part of the MassKara Competition Open School and Barangay Categories.
The signal jamming in the city was earlier requested by the Bacolod City Police Office as part of the security protocols.
