Sinadya 2020 goes virtual

Roxas City will celebrate Sinadya 2020 Pista sang Immaculada Concepcion on December 6-8, 2020.

The local government headed by Mayor Ronnie Dadivas will lead the celebration using innovative modes and virtual platforms.

The celebration will focus on devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary through a series of online fiesta and pontifical masses to be led by newly minted Cardinal Jose Advincula.

Other events are Bantog Pasalamat (a virtual for efforts to mitigate COVID-19), Kasanag (Barangay Parol Making Competition), Hugod (recognizing inspiring and resilient businesses during the pandemic), Amba Maria (virtual Marian singing competition), Himaya Maria (virtual spoken word poetry competition in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary), Bitoon (LGBT Parol Headdress Virtual Competition), Agubay (outreach to the marginalized and less fortunate residents of Roxas City), Tinda Sinadya (Buy and Go Trade Fair of Roxas City SMEs), Tugalbo (Online Cosplay contest), and K-Concert (K-pop virtual dance and song competition).

“Sa pihak sang guinaatubang nga pandemya kita, nagpangita sang mga bag-o nga inobasyon  agud maselebrar  ini nga  luwas sa peligro. Indi man ini daku kapareho sang nagligad nga tuig bangud sa CoVid-19, ang importante mapakita ta ang mabakud nga  pagtuo kag pagpasalamat sa padayon nga pag-ubay sang Mahal nga Birhen sa aton,” Mayor Dadivas said.
