BACOLOD City – Six persons were arrested after police operatives seized from them 75 grams of suspected shabu worth P510,000 in an alleged drug den at Purok Kaingin, Barangay Singcang-Airport late Thursday night.

Police identified the subject as Aeron Grace Andal, 25, a native of Barangay Vista Alegre here, but temporarily residing in Barangay Singcang-Airport.

Also arrested were Stephanie Espinosa, 20, Audie Medel, 23, and Freddie Denisa, 52, all residents of Barangay Singcang-Airport; Maria Aliguin, 27, of Barangay 2; and Samuel Gallardo, 38, of Barangay Sum-ag.

Police Captain Melvin Mercado, head of Police Station 8, said that two weeks before the operation, the Philippine National Police (PNP) Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) had informed them about their monitoring of Andal, following reports on her alleged illegal activity in the area.

Mercado said that an alleged pot session was even conducted in the said house, making it an alleged drug den.

Police also confiscated from them P13,000 boodle money, three lighters, two improvised tooters, and P33.

Mercado said that Medel and Denisa were previously arrested for a drug offense, and were released from jail a few months ago.

The PDEG is preparing the filing of charges against Andal for sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs, illegal possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a drug den, while the five other suspects will be charged for visiting a drug den.
