Skate Life Iloilo x Skate Life Ping set to bring Dinagyang Skate & BMX tournament

City of Love, are you ready?

In line with the 2024 Dinagyang Festival schedule of activities in Iloilo City, Skate Life Iloilo and Skate Life Ping will be bringing “For the Love 2” Dinagyang Skate and BMX Competition this January 21, 2024, to be held in the Iloilo Public Skate park.

The event will only run for a day and the registration for the skate competition will start at 1 PM while the BMX event registration will be at 9 AM.

Both formal kick off for the skate and BMX competitions will then begin after all the participants already logged in their names in the official list to be held by the organizers.

Spearheaded by Christopher Leccio Hurich, popularly known in Iloilo and the skate scene as “Ping”, and Andrew Cartera, the main organizers aim to continue its goal of elevating the sport not only in the City of Love but also in the country.

Aside from their continuous drive in their passion, Ping added that the event will allow the youth to get involved while also honing their skills that will develop both their mental and physical aspect of progression.

Two categories will be catering the skaters in their tournament, the Class A and B division, alongside several side games that will offer consolation prizes for the winners.

For the BMX event, the same categories as the skate competition will be given by the organizers as of this writing.

“For The Love 2 will be an exciting day for action sports here in Iloilo. This event will showcase some of the best upcoming talents in skateboarding and BMX. This event aims to give positive exposure for action sports to the community. We would like to invite you all to come join us! The event will be co-presented by VANS Philippines in cooperation with Mayor Jerry P. Treñas, Iloilo City Government, Iloilo City Sports Development Division spearheaded by Executive Assistant for Sports and Youth Mr. Rudiver Jungco Sr., and Mr. Rein Dayot, and the Iloilo Festivals Foundation Inc.
