ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The boyfriend who was found dead early Saturday morning at Brgy. Dolores in Dumalag, Capiz was facing a homicide case in Iloilo City.
According to Major Jojen Suegay of Lambunao Police Station, Erlon Lego was involved in a homicide case while he was staying in Molo, Iloilo City a few months ago.
Suegay said the victim was staying then with his former live-in partner and their three children.
In a radio interview, Suegay said the victim was released from detention after he posted a P50,000 bail through the help of an unidentified person.
But after he posted bail, Lego went missing.
Police are investigating if the pending homicide case is connected to his death.
Lego, 26, of Barangay Bagumbong, Lambunao, Iloilo was beaten before he was shot dead.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Joe Martin Fuentes, Medico Legal Officer of PNP-Crime Laboratory Region-6, said the victim suffered two gunshot wounds on the head.
The victim also suffered abrasions on the stomach and breast.
Fuentes said these were just initial findings because the victim has yet to undergo post-mortem examination.
The PNP-Crime will conduct Ballistics Examination on the empty shells recovered from the crime scene.
They will also investigate the empty shells recovered from Brgy. San Juan Dumarao, Capiz where Rose Bering, Lego’s alleged girlfriend, was also found dead.
Lego and Bering were found dead early Saturday morning in the towns of Dumarao and Dumalag.
