‘Snow Christmas’ for Cadizeños

BACOLOD CITY – The spirit of gratitude, unity, and celebration filled the air as Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, officially launched its holiday season with a kiddie foam party at the park on December 10.

Themed “Pamaskwa sa Cadiznon,” the festivities began with a ceremonial switch-on led by Mayor Salvador Escalante Jr., marking the start of Christmas celebrations in the city.

A grand fireworks display lit up the night sky, while children enjoyed a “Snow Christmas” experience through the foam party, adding a playful and festive touch to the event.

The celebration also featured vibrant performances by PNU-Visayas and a special guest appearance by Jollibee, delighting attendees of all ages.

In his Christmas message, Escalante expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people of Cadiz for their unwavering support and praised the city’s progress and unity.

“The city is progressive and peaceful, and full of hope,” he said, urging residents to give thanks to the Almighty for the blessings they have received.

The holiday spirit will continue throughout December, with nightly Christmas carols, acoustic performances, presentations from schools and organizations, gift-giving activities, and exciting contests, including a Belen Making Contest and a Parol Contest.
