ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) of Capiz will investigate the deaths of four patients while in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital on Dec 25, 2019.
The deaths occurred as typhoon Ursula pounded Capiz and the rest of Panay Island.
Vice-Governor Jaime “Mitang” Magbanua said all SP members agreed to refer the issue to the Committee of the Whole.
Magbanua said almost all SP members wanted to know the real cause of the deaths.
But the management of RMPH said the malfunctioning generator set of the hospital might be the cause of the deaths.
The vice governor said that the provincial legislature wanted to hear both sides so that they could find solutions to the problem.
