PAVIA, Iloilo — The Social Security System (SSS) inaugurated its new Iloilo Central Branch at City Mall, Pavia, on October 24, 2024, in a move to improve service delivery for nearly 370,000 members across Panay Island.

SSS Officer-in-Charge President and CEO Atty. Voltaire Agas highlighted the significance of the new branch in bringing social protection services closer to the community.

“This branch is proof of our commitment to expanding our reach and enhancing our services to better serve our stakeholders—our members, employers, beneficiaries, and pensioners,” Agas said during the opening ceremony.

Strategically located within a mall, the new office aims to provide greater accessibility and convenience for members seeking essential services. Agas underscored the agency’s dedication to offering “efficient and compassionate service” to the public.

The Iloilo Central Branch will serve over 8,000 employers and nearly 370,000 members, offering a “one-stop shop” experience. SSS members can access a wide range of services, including benefit processing, medical assistance, and legal consultations, all under one roof.

SSS Iloilo Senior Communications Analyst Amiel Genova also noted that the branch provides enrollment support for SSS’s online services, helping members complete transactions digitally for added convenience.

One notable aspect of the new branch is its “rent-free” arrangement, which allows the SSS to allocate more resources to service improvements.

The inauguration was attended by key officials, including SSS Senior Vice President for Visayas Operations Group Helen Solito, Social Security Commissioner Eva B. Arcos, SSS Visayas West 2 Division Vice President Angelo Blancaver, and SSS Iloilo Central Branch Head Eva Cura.

Local government officials, including Iloilo Provincial Administrator Dr. Raul Banias and Pavia Vice Mayor Edsel Gerochi, also attended the event, showing support for the SSS’s efforts to better serve its members.

The new branch reinforces the SSS’s commitment to ensuring that social protection services remain within reach for its growing number of stakeholders in the region.
