More than 130 employees from public and private sectors in Bacolod City and nearby areas attended a refresher training on SSS programs and digital services under the BOOST Program.
SSS Vice President for Visayas West 1 Division Dr. Lilani Benedian said the training was designed for staff from 61 local government units, national government agencies and private firms who operate localized SSS e-centers in their offices.
“BOOST Program is an SSS initiative aimed at empowering barangay officials and representatives of offsite e-centers with comprehensive knowledge of SSS’ online services,” Benedian said.
“It is our objective that through this gathering, participants may gain insights into the significance of our services and how they can help their constituents in navigating our website, portal and mobile app,” she added.
Benedian said the program seeks to bring SSS digital services closer to residents in remote areas.
She shared that the SSS Sagay Branch piloted the Offsite e-Center project at the barangay level in 2022, leading to the national rollout of “SSS E-Center sa Barangay” in 2023.
The initiative helps digitally challenged members access SSS services in their communities.
Barangay Magsaysay in Cadiz City was the first to launch an e-center, with the network expanding to 230 offsite locations across Negros Island as of December 2024.
