Stephen Curry will run it back with the Golden State Warriors after agreeing to a one-year $62.6 million contract extension announced on August 30, 2024.

After ESPN veteran NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski’s initial breaking update regarding Curry’s one-year contract deal, the Golden State Warriors front office followed it up after several social media posts on their X and Facebook accounts.

“More history to make. More memories with #DubNation to come. The Warriors have signed Stephen Curry to a contract extension,” posted the Warriors.

Curry’s $62.6 million worth of deal means that he will be guaranteed $178 million over the next three years, the largest bag that the Golden State organization offered this upcoming NBA season.

Despite failing to make last season’s NBA playoffs, Curry was still lethal with his offensive game, earning the 2024 Kia NBA Clutch Player of the Year award.

The former league Most Valuable Player (MVP) averaged 26.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 5.1 assists during the regular season and led the league in clutch three-pointers made with 189 treys.

Before finalizing his NBA deal, Curry was fresh off an Olympic gold medal in Paris, where he showcased his skillset to help Team USA beat France in the grand final stage.

Curry flaunted his dominance on the court as he pressed his turbo button when the playoffs kicked off in the Olympics.

During their semifinal game against Serbia where they clawed their way back from a 17-point deficit, Curry led all scorers after erupting for 36 points built from nine-made three-pointers.

The NBA’s leader in three-point makes then replicated his stellar game against France in the gold medal game and torched them with 24 points derived from 8/13 shooting from the field.
