BACOLOD City – An alleged liason officer of the New People’s Army (NPA) was arrested at Manggahan Dos, Barangay Merville, Parañaque City on Wednesday.
Police identified the suspect as Roger Lumanog, 36, of Camindangan, Sipalay City, and presently residing in Parañaque City.
Joint operatives of the Intelligence Division of the Southern Police District led by Police Major Henrix Bancoleta, in coordination with the Sipalay City Police Station led by Police Lieutenant Colonel Necerato Sabando Jr., served the arrest warrant for murder against Lumanog.
The arrest warrant was issued by Judge Rodney Magbanua of Regional Trial Court Branch 61 in Kabankalan City.
Police records showed that the murder case stemmed from the killing of their comrade, who left their group.
A report from the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo), said that the suspect is an alleged liaison officer of the Southern West Front-NPA, who reportedly procures logistical requirements in Manila for their comrades in the province.
He will be transferred to the province.
