Days after the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) revealed Jordan Heading’s existing contract with Gilas Pilipinas, the Taichung Suns in Taiwan were quick to reply that they had clearance from the International Basketball Federation (FIBA).

Under SBP’s formal letter addressed to FIBA and the Chinese Taipei Basketball Association, they confirmed that Heading is still under contract with them until March 2023.

However, Taichung said that they received the green light from FIBA regarding the acquisition of the Gilas leftie shooter.

“We hereby declare that the contract signed between the Taichung Suns and Jordan Heading is in compliance with the legal requirements and all comply with FIBA’s transfer-related regulations,” said Taichung in a statement.

Up to this date, the SBP is yet to reply regarding Taichung’s statement that they received the FIBA clearance.

Heading meanwhile already posted a video greeting his fans in Mandarin: “I’m Jordan Heading. Super excited to be heading over back to Taichung. Really excited to work with the boys and meet the fans. Thank you and let’s go Taichung!”
