BACOLOD City Bacolod City Sanggunian Panlungsod Secretary Vicente Petierre III said Councilor Ricardo “Cano” Tan still has leave credits he can use.
Petierre said Tan again went on sick leave on Feb 28, 2019 based on papers he filed with the Office of the Sangguniang Panlungsod Secretary.
Tan has not attended several SP sessions held every Wednesday after he and his wife Nita survived an ambush at Purok Tagaytay, Barangay Alangilan in Bacolod, while on their way home last Dec 14, 2018 from the Campuestohan Highland Resort.
The Tans own the said resort.
Petierre confirmed that Tan has several leave credits left that he still can still avail of.
He said Tan filed his leave application through his staff.
Petierre also said that under the Civil Service Law, civil servants are entitled to 15 days vacation leave and 15 days sick leave every year.
He added that “If they dont avail of their leave credits, this will accumulate and can be availed of anytime. They can also avail of special leave every year.”
Petierre said that Tan has not availed of his vacation leave credits since he became councilor and has more than 20 days of leave credits remaining, based on their records.
