BACOLOD CITY – The Police Highway Patrol Group (HPG) in Negros Oriental has summoned a teacher for performing a dangerous motorcycle stunt on the national highway in Tanjay City.
In a video recently posted by FC TV, the teacher, identified only as Ian, appeared before Police Senior Master Sgt. Aurelio Bodo of HPG-Negros Oriental on March 31 to apologize for his reckless behavior.
The viral video showed Ian performing the “superman” stunt—lying face down while operating his motorcycle on March 30—drawing mixed reactions from the public.
Ian admitted that the stunt was extremely dangerous and inappropriate.
“Indi gid ato nami kay delikado kaayo,” he said, expressing remorse for his actions.
He apologized to those affected by his behavior and urged fellow riders not to imitate him.
Bodo emphasized that such stunts pose significant danger not only to the rider but also to other motorists.
He said that public roads are not places for dangerous stunts and reiterated the importance of road safety.
The HPG said it will recommend the suspension or revocation of Ian’s driver’s license to the Land Transportation Office (LTO).
Earlier, the HPG also summoned a content creator who went viral for lying down in the middle of the road in Bacong town.
That individual also issued a public apology for performing a hazardous stunt.
