It was a familiar sight for everyone that’s been keeping track of the USA Men’s basketball team.

After absorbing back-to-back losses in their 2021 Olympic exhibition debut, the USA basketball squad quickly proved the doubters wrong with a dominant 108-80 victory against Argentina.

USA came in waxing hot and shot the three-point ball with confidence as Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal led the scoring barrage with 17 points apiece.

USA showcased the familiar offensive artillery it is known for as the boys in black and blue shared the ball with ease under the signature mentorship of head coach Gregg Popovich.

Soon as everyone got going for team USA, the double-digit lead was never trimmed down to single digits as Bam Adebayo and Zach Lavine took charge in the last two quarters.

Adebayo posted solid numbers with 12 points, five assists and five rebounds while the high-flying Lavine chipped in 15 points.

It was still a convincing win for team USA despite missing some key players in Jayson Tatum who underwent rest due to right knee soreness and Khris Middleton, Jrue Holiday, and Devin Booker who are still competing in the NBA Finals.

The Argentinian national team was led by former NBA big man Luis Scola and Denver Nuggets’ crafty point guard Facundo Campazzo.
