A teenage boy was arrested afternoon of Aug 30, 2022 after escaping from a juvenile holding center last week.
Glen Mariano, 18, of Barangay Boulevard, Molo, Iloilo City, was nabbed at Dulonan village, Arevalo.
Joint elements of the Iloilo City Police Office-City Intelligence Unit (ICPO-CIU) and Iloilo City Police Stations 1 and 6 collared Mariano, who was accused of robbery and was charged in July 2022.
Staff Sergeant Larry Cabañal, the investigator on the case, said the suspect was just 17 years old when he was first arrested for robbery.
He was subsequently housed at Balay Dalayunan, a shelter for children in conflict with the law (CICL). But he escaped on August 22.
An arrest warrant was issued for his arrest the following day.
Cabañal said Mariano will be temporarily jailed at the ICPS6 lock-up cell.
