Teen, Two Others Nabbed With PHP634,000 ‘Shabu’

BACOLOD CITY — Three individuals, including a teenager, were arrested in separate buy-bust operations that led to the seizure of PHP634,000 worth of suspected shabu in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental on March 7 and 8.

On March 7, the Special Operations Unit 6 (SOU6) of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Drug Enforcement Group (DEG), along with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-6 and Negros Occidental police, arrested a 19-year-old man in Purok Narra Bay-bay, Barangay 8, Bacolod City.

Authorities confiscated 65 grams of suspected shabu valued at PHP260,000 during the operation.

According to a PDEA-6 report, the teenager, a junior high school undergraduate, was listed in the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC) and identified as a high-value target.

On March 8, operatives arrested alias “Lyndon,” 35, of Binalbagan town, and alias “Marvin,” 31, of Himamaylan City, in Barangay Enclaro, Binalbagan.

One of their companions managed to escape.

The Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) seized 55 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP374,000 during the operation.
