Leading digital customer experience provider and business process solutions, TELUS International Philippines officially opened its 7th site in Iloilo city, making this expansion the 1st in the provinces outside of Metro Manila.
Tailor-fitting the workplace to inspire their employees, TELUS Iloilo took inspiration from the city’s diverse culture and collaborated with local artists to highlight the rich heritage, well-known landmarks, historical buildings, the region’s natural scenery and even local cuisine.
“Knowing how the office becomes a second home to our team members, it was important that the design of our new workplace reflects the amazing culture of our host city, the work culture that we encourage at TELUS International Philippines, as well as our values as a company,” TELUS International Philippines Facilities Director Pia Zapata explained.
The office, located at SM Strata Tower on Senator Benigno Aquino Jr. Avenue on levels 14 to 16, is filled with colorful murals as well as local materials such as rattan and “solihiya”. Collaboration areas, meeting rooms, focus rooms, and boardrooms have been uniquely designed as inspired by the region.
In addition, the company facilities include a gym, pharmacy, cafeteria, clinics that are available 24/7, libraries, and snooze boxes.
“The unique experience of working at TELUS Iloilo City is something we want each member of our team to feel,” Zapata added.
As of today, the company’s Iloilo site already has 350 members and trainees and is looking towards housing a total of 800 members.
“The IT and customer experience business scene is booming in Iloilo, and we want to be part of its growth as we provide more employment opportunities for residents in Iloilo and surrounding cities,” TELUS Iloilo City Site Lead Jonabee Betran-Catura said.
The company is observing safety protocols and has provided employees with hygiene kits as well as shuttle services to ensure a safe working environment. TELUS International Philippines have also ordered COVID-19 vaccines and started the registration process to vaccinate their employees.
