Team Tely’s and team Orquiola Construction earned huge wins during the ongoing playoff round of the LEPRECHAUNS x TUNESQUAD basketball club last May 10, 2023, held at the Green Meadows basketball gym.
During the first game of the scheduled doubleheader, team Tely’s pulled off a convincing 110-95 victory over team BF Trucking.
Reymund Camayudo grabbed the spotlight during the win and became team Tely’s ex-factor when he put up 26 points, nine rebounds, and four assists.
Tely’s immediately dictated the tempo of the playoff showdown after establishing an early eight-point lead, 20-8, after the first set.
However, BF Trucking was able to equalize things in the second set after finally regaining their shot rhythm.
Tely’s then decided to match fire with fire as they answered every basket BF Trucking converted in the next sets but a costly fourth period saw the trailing team score only four points that became the turn-around of the game.
Camayudo and his squad then took advantage of BF Trucking’s cold shooting that paved the way for their double-digit lead in the last sets.
Meanwhile, in the second game, team Orquiola outdueled Bel is Cove with an impressive 117-87 win to advance to the next round.
Team Orquiola’s wire-to-wire victory was led by Julian Paccial who exploded for 42 big points alongside four rebounds and three assists.
With the win, Orquiola will be setting up a showdown with team Tely’s in the next round of the LEPRECHAUNS x TUNESQUAD playoffs.
