BACOLOD City – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and police arrested 13 persons and seized P618,800 worth of suspected shabu in separate buy-bust operations here and in Negros Occidental from April 13 to 15.
The City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) reported the biggest drug recovery with the seizure of P244,800 worth of suspected shabu from a former construction worker at Purok Ylac, Barangay 1 here last Friday.
Five others were arrested by PDEA-Negros Occidental in an alleged drug den in Barangay 3 here last Saturday which resulted in the confiscation of P102,000 worth of suspected shabu.
Two more individuals were apprehended by Police Stations 4 and 6 in Barangays 27 and Taculing here, respectively last Saturday, with the recovery of P81,600 worth of the same contraband.
In the province, five persons were arrested and P190,400 worth of suspected shabu were seized in the cities of Victorias, Escalante, and Talisay, and the towns of Pontevedra, and E.B. Magalona.
The biggest drug haul in the province was reported in E.B. Magalona town with the seizure of P136,000 worth of suspected shabu last Friday.
