Three brothers facing murder charges were collared over the weekend after years in hiding.

Police and Philippine Army operatives nabbed the suspects in the mountainous village of Aglonok in Calinog, Iloilo late morning of Aug. 16, 2020.

The suspects were identified as Richard Bajoyo, 40; Francisco Bajoyo, 50; and Joy Bajoyo, 33, all residents of the Aglonok.

Members of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office Members of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office-Provincial Intelligence Unit (IPPO-PIU), Calinog Police Station, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6 (RFMB-6), and the Alpha Company of the Army’s 12th Infantry Battalion served against the suspects an arrest warrant for murder with the use of unlicensed firearm docketed as Criminal Case No. 14-83836.

No bail was set for their temporary liberty.

Police Captain Genesis Roque, Calinog police chief, said the suspects’ hideout made it hard for authorities to monitor them.

“It will take several hours before one could reach the area,” he said.

Security issues, particularly on insurgency, were also considered in launching the operation against the suspects.
