BACOLOD City – The Army’s 303rd Infantry Brigade (IBde) said three alleged members of the New People’s Army (NPA) and an alleged mass supporter of the group surrendered to the 94th Infantry Battalion (IB) in Barangay Camingawan, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental on Feb. 13.
The surrenderers included the head of the family, who was a squad leader of Central Negros Front 2, his wife, and brother; and mother, a mass supporter. They also turned over an M16 rifle, and .30-caliber ammunition.
Brigadier General Inocencio Pasaporte, 303rd IBde commander, expressed his appreciation to the 94th IB and Kabankalan City Police Station for facilitating the surrender of the former rebel.
