Three persons were arrested following a police anti-narcotics operation Saturday evening in Arevalo, Iloilo City.
Police identified the suspects as Jericho Ocampo, 24, of Zone 10, Calaparan , Arevalo; Joseph Thai, 34, of Zone 14, Calaparan, Arevalo; and Louie Pabulayan, 25, of Zone 8-B, Calumpang, Molo.
Major Edgar Anonoy, Arevalo police chief, seized from the suspects 23 sachets of suspected shabu and P1,700 buy-bust money.
It was gathered that Ocampo had been charged and was previously detained for an illegal drug offense.
However, he was released from detention after availing of the plea bargaining agreement.
Anonoy said Ocampo had been monitored to have again engaged in the illegal drug trade recently
The three suspects are now detained and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
