Three individuals, including a minor, were injured in a stabbing incident early on October 27 in Calinog, Iloilo.

Police identified the victims as Mark Versamina, 18, of Barangay Cabagiao, Calinog; and alias John, 17, and Eljen Castor, 23, both from Barangay Guiso, Calinog.

Reports indicated that the victims were walking home around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday when they were attacked by three men.

Major Miles Dieron, Calinog police chief, said the victims had just attended a community dance at Guiso village before the assault.

The suspects, identified as Mark Lawrence Arsigono, alias Bon Chiva, and another unidentified individual, attacked the trio from behind.

The victims said there was no provocation leading up to the attack, according to Dieron.

After the initial punches, the suspects stabbed the victims in various parts of their bodies.

The victims were immediately taken to Calinog District Hospital for medical treatment.

The suspects fled the scene and remain at large as of this writing.

Dieron noted that there may have been an incident at the community dance that escalated into the conflict between the two groups.
