BACOLOD City – Three persons died in a road accident at Sitio Daro, Barangay Nagbo-alao, Basay, Negros Oriental last Monday.
Police identified the victims as Jhay Elarcosa, Rodelio Manlangit Jr., and Marlon Tumimbang, all residents of Barangay Actin.
Based on a report from Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office (Norppo), the victims were riding a motorcycle driven by Manlangit when they hit the rear part of a 10-wheeler truck parked at the roadside.
The truck was abandoned by its driver after it encountered a mechanical problem, according to the police.
The victims, who were believed to be on their way home, died on the spot due to severe injuries.
