Three more drug peddlers were arrested in a separate but related anti-illegal drug operations late evening of Oct 11, 2020 at Pavia, Iloilo.

Major Jojo Tabaloc, Pavia police chief, identified the suspects as Evemar Carl Cabatian, 30, of Pag-ibig Homes, Barangay Buhang, Jaro, Iloilo City; and Lorenzo Mata and Darwin Diaz, both 27 years old and residents of Barangay Balabago, Jaro, Iloilo City.

Cabatian was arrested 11 pm Sunday at Barangay Ungka II, Pavia.

Tabaloc said they seized three sachets of suspected shabu with a street value of P40,000; P5,000 marked money including the P100 marked bill, a mobile phone, drug paraphernalia, some personal effects, and a Toyota Vios sedan.

Tabaloc said the suspect eventually spilled his source and police were led to Mata and Diaz.

Both suspects agreed to sell shabu at Barangay Ungka II also.

They were later arrested in less than an hour.

Seized from their possession were two sachets of suspected shabu worth P68,000, the P11,000 marked money, a mobile phone, a wallet, and a Suzuki Rider motorcycle.

Tabaloc said Diaz is on the police watchlist as a street level individual (SLI) drug personality.

“But both of them have been our targets because they were named suppliers of suspects we arrested in the past month,” Tabaloc said.

He said that the two have been supplying shabu to other pushers operating in other parts of Iloilo.

The three suspects are now detained at the lock-up cell of Pavia Police Station pending the filing of charges against them for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
