Three individuals on Western Visayas’ most wanted list were arrested during police operations on the afternoon of May 6 in Janiuay, Iloilo.

The suspects, known by the aliases Harry, 30; Bill, 23; and Joe, 24, all reside in Sitio Tibtib, Barangay Quipot, Janiuay, Iloilo, and are ranked fourth, fifth, and sixth on the region’s most wanted list, respectively.

Captain Alwin Salmon, the Janiuay police chief, noted that the suspects are related. They were charged with murder following allegations of colluding to hack their neighbor to death on October 23, 2023.

The operations, which lasted from 2:20 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. on Monday, involved members from the Janiuay Municipal Police Station, the Iloilo Police Provincial Office – Provincial Intelligence Unit (IPPO-PIU), the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group 6, and the 603rd Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6.

Despite being aware of the charges, the suspects did not attempt to flee.

The IPPO underscored that these operations are part of the priority initiatives of its officer-in-charge, Colonel Bayani Razalan, aimed at apprehending fugitives and bringing them to justice.

“The arrest of this trio highlights our unwavering commitment to pursuing justice for the victims and their families,” Razalan said.
