BACOLOD City – Three siblings are facing drug charges following their arrest in a buy-bust operation in Barangay 3, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental last Sunday.

The operation also led to the confiscation of 35 grams of suspected shabu worth P238,000.

Arrested were the Vicente siblings – Ruel, 30; Dunn, 28; and Emily, 43, a tricycle driver, all residents of Barangay 3.

They were placed under monitoring for a couple of months, according to the police.

Also recovered from them were an improvised tooter, lighter; a pack of empty plastic sachets, and the P1,000 marked money.

According to the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), which led the operation, Ruel is an alleged member of a drug group. He was arrested for a drug offense in January 2021 and was released in December of the same year through plea bargain.

Dunn was also arrested sometime in 2019 for a drug offense and was released in November 2020 through plea bargain.

The PDEU said the brothers were tagged as high value individuals while their sister was a street level individual in the city.

Police Brigadier General Flynn Dongbo, PRO-6 director, lauded the police operatives for another successful operation against illegal drugs.
