BACOLOD City – Three teenagers were hurt in separate stabbing and shooting incidents here and in Talisay City, Negros Occidental evening of June 26, 2019.

Two male teenagers were injured in a rumble in front of Bacolod City National High School on Hernaez Streets, Barangay Taculing here.

Police withheld the real names of the 14-year-old victim Toto and the 15-year-old suspect Nonoy.

Police Captain Elmer Bonilla, head of Police Station 6, said Nonoy is considered a “child in conflict with the law” (CICL).

Bonilla said the commotion occurred when Nonoy’s group misinterpreted the actuations of Toto’s group when the latter called out one of their friends at the opposite side of the road.

They thought the victim’s group was challenging them to a fistfight, Bonilla added.

Nonoy allegedly stabbed Toto on his left arm, back, and lower left abdomen.

But Nonoy also got stabbed on his head and right arm believed to be perpetrated by unidentified minors.

Both were brought to Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital here.

Police recovered from Nonoy a Swiss knife he allegedly used in the crime.

Bonilla said Toto’s parents are willing to press physical injuries charges against Nonoy.

Police are also investigating who stabbed Nonoy.
