TMC Iloilo launches city’s first hospital-based OT program

ILOILO CITY – The Medical City (TMC) Iloilo has marked a significant milestone in healthcare services by launching the first comprehensive Occupational Therapy (OT) Program in a hospital setting in the city. The program kicked off on March 1, in partnership with The B Academy PH, a local Family Technology company specializing in occupational therapy, special needs education, and early intervention.

The collaboration aims to bolster patient care for individuals with various mental and physical health conditions, enhancing their independence and ability to engage in daily activities. TMC Iloilo and The B Academy PH’s alliance was cemented with a Memorandum of Agreement, overseen by Gene Woo, CEO and Co-founder of The B Academy PH, and Dr. Debbie Noblezada-Uy, TMC Iloilo’s Chief Clinical Officer.

Offering services ranging from consultation to interventions for a spectrum of patients, including pediatrics and the elderly, TMC Iloilo’s OT program is tailored for those recovering from injuries, managing chronic diseases, and with developmental disorders.

Gene Woo expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership: “This program will truly benefit patients as this hospital is proven in providing personalized interventions tailored to their healthcare needs.”

TMC Iloilo’s commitment to patient-centered care is further reinforced by the Chief Marketing and Sales Officer, Prince Juliene Hermaine Celo, who highlighted the program’s aim to “empower individuals to lead fulfilling lives and participate actively in their communities.”

The program’s consultation services are accessible at TMC Iloilo Clinic at Festive Walk Iloilo and the hospital’s Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department. For those interested, appointments can be booked online or through TMC Iloilo’s concierge services.
