Chot Reyes is back in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).

Following TNT’s decision to let go of consultant Mark Dickel and naming coach Bong Ravena as head, Governor Ricky Vargas confirmed new developments regarding their coaching staff.

“It’s like a homecoming for Chot. He is a coach that gave us four championships. We look forward to a successful relationship with Coach Chot,” said TNT governor Vargas.

Reyes is no stranger to the PBA scene and was hailed as TNT’s best head coach after steering the squad to the 2009, 2011, and 2012 Philippine Cup and the 2011 Commissioner’s Cup.

After Reyes retired from the PBA, he was tasked to orchestrate the legendary 2013 PH national team that clinched the silver medal during the FIBA Asia Cup.

He also led one of the most memorable teams in Philippine basketball history – breaking the South Korean curse which haunted the Philippines in every international tournament.

“Throughout my career, I have always tried to live according to my passion and purpose. My passion has always been coaching and building teams, whether in sports or business. And my purpose is to further the advancement of Filipino coaches, so we can, in turn, help develop the next generation of Filipino leaders,” Reyes said.
