BACOLOD City – A man wanted for illegal drugs escaped while a minor was injured, following a shootout with police operatives in Barangay 2 here last Thursday.

Police Captain Jonito Pastrana, head of Police Station 2, said they were supposed to serve an arrest warrant against Moises Cuadra, who is the station’s top 3 most wanted person when a brief chase occurred.

Pastrana said that Cuadra’s uncle and father blocked the gate with a big wood when they saw the policemen approaching their house.

Policemen tried to climb the perimeter wall but they have two big dogs.

Cuadra climbed onto the rooftop along with a minor and allegedly fired shots, prompting the police to retaliate.

Pastrana said the minor suffered an injury in his hand when he climbed the roof, but not a gunshot wound.

“Siguro kabalo sila na may warrant kay preparado sila,” Pastrana said.

Pastrana said that Cuadra’s father and uncle will be charged for obstruction of justice, while the minor was taken to a hospital.
