Three persons, including two women, were arrested in a police anti-narcotics operation afternoon of Nov 18, 2020 in Sta. Barbara, Iloilo.
Police identified the suspects as Rhona Susbilla, 43, of Barangay Dalid, Sta. Barbara Iloilo; Joan Sorongon, 40, of Barangay Sta. Barbara; and Cornelio Somcio, 38, of Barangay Cafe, Sta. Barbara.
Joint elements of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 6 (RPDEU-6) Team 3, together with Sta. Barbara Police Station, collared the suspects for allegedly selling two sachets of suspected shabu for P50,000 to a police undercover agent at around 12:40 pm Wednesday at Daga village.
Recovered from Susbilla was a bag allegedly owned by Sorongon. It contained 10 sachets of suspected shabu, cash of P5,040, and a mobile phone.
Soliman said the seized shabu weighed around 60 grams and valued at P500,000 based on DDB (Dangerous Drugs Board) estimates.
Somcio meanwhile yielded a cellphone.
The suspects are now detained at the lock-up cell of Sta. Barbara Police Station and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
