ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Two persons were charged for illegal drug trade and illegal gun possession in Capiz.
Police on Monday morning filed charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) against Andresito Pinongcos, 41, of Brgy. Cabugao, Ivisan, Capiz before the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office.
Around P200,000 worth of illegal drugs in six plastic sachets were recovered in a drug buy-bust operation against Pinongcos at Barangay Malocloc Sur, Ivisan, Capiz last Saturday afternoon.
Also recovered from Pinongcos were a cellphone, a sling bag, a motorcycle, and the P4,500 marked money.
Pinongcos is an alleged Street Level Individual (SLI) in the town of Ivisan, police said.
Meanwhile, Berlito Borce, 48, was charged for illegal gun possession after a search warrant was implemented at his house last Saturday in Barangay Solo, Pontevedra, Capiz.
The 1st Capiz Provincial Mobile Force Company 3rd Maneuver Platoon, Capiz Police Intelligence Unit, and Pontevedra Municipal Police Station led the operation.
The search warrant was issued by Roxas City Regional Trial Court Branch 17 Judge Lorencito B. Diaz on March 17, 2023.
Recovered from Borce was a homemade pistol-type 12-gauge shotgun with 4 live bullets.
