Two killed, one wounded in motorcycle collision

BACOLOD City – Two men died while another was injured after they figured in a motorcycle collision in Barangay Pandanon, Murcia, Negros Occidental last Saturday.

Police identified the fatalities as Romie Mallorca, 27, of Don Salvador Benedicto town; and Agustin Ardeña, 21, of Barangay Amayco, Murcia town.

Wounded was Mallorca’s companion Jobey Jamili of Don Salvador Benedicto town.

Police Staff Sergeant Ryan Bandiola, traffic investigator of Murcia Municipal Police Station, said Ardeña reportedly used Mallorca’s lane that caused the collision.

“Ginsaway na siya na indi mag agi sa isa ka lane kag wala siya suga,” Bandiola said.

Bandiola said that Mallorca and his companion came from their workplace to get their salaries, while Ardeña came from an eatery after having a snack when the accident happened.

Bandiola said the two motorcycle drivers died on the spot while Jamili suffered serious injuries and is in critical condition in a hospital.
