BACOLOD City – Policemen are probing the motive behind the deaths of two men whose bullet-riddled bodies were found inside a car at Bacolod Real Estate Development Corp. (Bredco) port in Barangay 2 here last Tuesday.
Police identified the victims as Dexter Bryan Ursos, 41, of Barangay 4; and Fernando Mahipos, 39, of Barangay 14.
Police Captain Paul Vincent Pendon, head of Police Station 2, said the victims suffered gunshot wounds on different parts of their bodies.
Aside from the two victims, a two-year-old child, whose identity was withheld for security reasons, was found beside the car, Pendon said.
Police recovered from Ursos’ silver Mitsubishi Mirage a sachet of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, P4,000 counterfeit money, and other personal belongings of the victims.
Also recovered from the crime scene were eight ammunition casings, a deformed slug, and a metal fragment.
Pendon said they have no lead yet on the identities of the perpetrators and the motive of the incident.
“Wala pa ta witness and grabe abi ang ulan sang natabo ato,” he added.
Pendon also said they have not figured out why the victims were at the secluded area that night.
Despite some contraband found in the vehicle, Pendon said they could not yet say if the incident can be linked to illegal drugs.
“We’re still working on it, gina check ta if ara sila sa listing sa drugs, sige pa investigate,” the station commander added.
Pendon said the child is already in the custody of Balay Pasilungan here.
